Need Window Replacement Suggestions

I've got a duplex with some windows that need to be replaced.

We're thinking of vinyl inserts, but we'd like to have someone come out and measure and let us know what our options are.

Does anyone have any good experiences with some that's good and inexpensive?

I too am looking at some window replacements. Actually, we would like to replace all the windows in our house. So please pass on any info you gather.
