At some point you have to think that the ball is going to find the bats of a few guys. EE needs to relax up there and loosen the grip on the handle.
I remember all last year that the hitting coach that we had got a lot of praise from players and I am wondering if some of the guys like EE and Joey bats are missing having the guy that really turned around their swings.

EE is starting to heat up, he had 8 hits in the 4 game series. The hitting coach from last year is the first base coach now and still works with some of the hitters.

Holy crap, just looked at the schedule and saw that 30 of the next 35 games are against american league east teams. That's a really crucial stretch for this early in the season.

Crucial especially with how poorly they've played relative to expectations.

They really need to turn things around, hopefully starting with this series (tough start to this game already).

Man oh man do the Jays need to get on the sticks. The composition of this lineup is high SO and low OBP. I struggle with that approach but it can pay off I suppose when you have 3 guys hitting solo HRs every night.

When the whole lineup is slumping it's reall hard to watch. How many times this year has the leadoff guy been on base this ENTIRE season?

It's mighty early but I think AA has got to be on the prowl for at least 1 more bat. The pitching, while inconsistent, we know will sort itself out I think. But this lineup is just not built to consistently keep us in games and I think it's a group of inconsistent hitters.

Frustrated jays fan right here.
