I'm excited about the rebuild, and still enjoy the games, but it's hard to watch for the details required to write a good game story from a result standpoint.

So much easier to watch players and have a quick commentary

Definitely. It was getting difficult when it was apparent this team was going to struggle with .500 all season.

I'd like to see Tanguay and Cami benched for the rest for the season and just watch AHL players. I am sick of seeing the past and want to look forward.

I was curious how you were going to fill the "On the line" section of the previous format, or if it would just be pictures of tumbleweed.

I enjoy the new format as well, I like the updates on the 1st overall "race" and the summary of the young players game.

Id like to see another section called Competing for Jobs and discusses which veterans mailed it in and which ones still want employment. Could also be called: Buy Out Watch

I'm glad you're trying out a new format. Perhaps the format can change depending on the time of the season, as the things we're looking at are going to be different at the beginning of the season instead of the end of the season.

Haha you're last couple of sentences made me laugh. Good writeup. I'd like to see you go back to the old format though once this team finds out how to win again in a few years. I liked it.

Love the new format for the remainder of the season. The idea of talking about interesting things within the game rather than the old format is great.

A few other things you could look at depending on who plays well or is noticeable and what else is happening.

Future Captains watch -- Gio and Glencross acting like leaders or quiting

Buy Out or Keep -- Veterans playing for or losing there jobs

Young Players to Watch
Around the NHL
Oilers playoff hopes -- Take glee in watching the oilers playoffs hopes expire
Other teams Stanley cup chances -- contending teams on how they look and any holes or strengths they have for the playoffs
