After checking the league, after having some nice talks with a lot of GMs, die Sharks today made their first deal in the league under new General Manager Roger Zaugg.
Oldie Bobby Holik, not much loved by GM Roger, was send to the eastcoast, to the New Jersey Devils.
The other way round will take LW Niklas Hagman together with RW Lubos Bartecko.
"Niklas was a player on our list", said GM Roger. "We have to make step by step, going younger and being more flexible on every position. With Lubos we also add a guy for our 2nd line."
Also involved in the deal were some financiall causes and also picks from the 3rd and 4th round.
The Sharks will look forward and will make more deals for sure. "We will push our defense, so there are some interesting players for us. We will contact the teams in the next week", said GM Roger.
The next 3 days he will be unavailable cause of an invitaion to the DTM (German Car Racing Series) where he will drive an a special race together with Mike Doohan (former Motorcycle World Champion), Emerson Fittipaldi (former Formula1 champ), Alain Prost (former F1-champ and also team owner) and Johnny Cecotto (former Motorcycle Worlchampion and also F1-driver).
