Default Wednesday, yes, there is hockey on

Leafs blowing the doors off the lightning 4-0 in the 3rd.

Joffrey lupul with an incredibly dirty head shot on hedman, hedman has gone to the quiet room for evaluation.

When is the league going to get serious about suspending obvious hits targeting the head? Lupul has to leave his feet to make that contact.

Should be 10 games in my opinion.

Minny putting the screws to Detroit now, 4-1 late in the second.

That team is better than I thought they'd be this season, and probably only going to get better the next few years.

Wild taking it to Wings 4-1 in Detroit. Brodin, the 19 yr old Swedish D is a frigging stud.

With Hamilton fading a bit, I think brodin should get serious consideration for the Calder.

I agree that Brodin is the most impressive rookie I've watched this season.

Also, Suter has 24 points.

People called me crazy when I said Suter was better than Weber.

I always felt that way as well.

They are both excellent, but Suter is a better all round D-man IMO.

There is just one eastern conference game on the OOT schedule.

On TSN and RDS, it is Tampa Bay at Toronto.
This game began at 1700h and it is now in the
third period. The Leafs have a commanding 4-1
lead after scoring three goals in the second period.

On NBCSN and TSN2, the rivalry Wednesday
game is Minnesota at Detroit. The game began
at 1730h and the Wild lead 4-1 at the end of the second
period. The Wild are playing some strong hockey
as they are poised to continue their hot streak of late.
This has been an interesting game to watch.

The game of the night without a doubt. This is a preview
of what should be the western conference final in this year's
playoffs. The two hottest teams in the league are on
NHL Network USA.
If you do not have Centre Ice,
it should be worth it to go to a bar and watch it.

Wow, didn't think Lupul was that kind of player, he's not a repeat offender is he?

God that's dirty.

If it was Matt Cooke, or raffi Torres it would be more than 10 games.

Time to make an example so that these plays quit being so routine.

The nhlpa is rudderless when it comes to their own members safety.

Probably hard for Weber to rack up any assists like Suter when no one can score on the Preds though.

Lupul has twice missed games for concussion reasons in his career.

He should know better

Hopefully gets max games for that hit. Clearly left his feet and looks like aimed for the head. Make an example out of Lupul.

And Minnesota isn't a powerhouse offensively either.

Minnesota is 22nd in goals for while Nashville is 28th.

The fix is in for the Edmonton game. The refs are letting the Oilers get away with crap while handing them a powerplay for nothing.
