Center Logan Couture has agreed to a contract extension with the Sharks, though a formal announcement cannot come before July 5.

"Can't say details," Couture responded in a text message when asked for specifics after reports circulated that he had agreed to an extension to his current contract that pays him $3 million in 2013-14, its final year. Earlier, Couture did declare over Twitter that Monday was a "Big dayyyyy."
