Not really a surprise. Gotta think Perry is pretty close behind. The longer he goes unsigned the worse that situation looks. Still little doubt in my mind that Perry gets done eventually though.

Not confirmed but the number I heard last nite was in the ball park of 66M over 8 yrs. Aav of 8.25 for #ducks Getzlaf.

The down side of course being that another 1st line centre locked up makes the market that much more bare. Probably around $8 million per I would say.

You need to do both to have a successful team. Signing good players through free agency and developing players through your own system are not mutually exclusive.

No surprise. Anybody that thought they would let him become a UFA were out of their mind.
I heard that the Ducks have a cash flow problem and that Perry will now more than likely be traded. No the flames can not get him.
