This hurricane is a nasty one....to say the least.

It will be worse than last years Ivan, that did so much damage.

Sustained winds of 145MPH at the eye, and a very tight concentric eye it is. Storm sure could reach over 20 feet.

Thankfully, on a personal mote, its heading NW as opposed to NE, where we got smacked in the head with Ivan last year. Areas right around us had over 18" of rain in 12 hours causing catastrophic flooding.

Best wishes to those in the path of this monster, as it is going to be one ugly sight come tomorrow morning.

Well transplant it is good to hear that it is staying away from you guys this time around, but that is an absolutely massive system to say the least. But once again best of luck to everyone in it's path and well don't do anything stupid like those guys you see on real tv who get smacked by a volvo flying down the street.

Sheesh... Florida must really be beautiful if people still live through this. How many hurricanes have hit the area in the past year?? Must be frustrating for the residents.

What gets me are those people who are so suprised when another hurricane comes and hits them. People down there get hit by one and it destroys their home only to rebuild it and two years later another hurricane levels it again. Anyone know what the house insurance is like in florida?
