Is there any doubt that Bryzgalov won't get bought out this summer?

This shows how bad the Flames are when other teams handled the Oilers pretty easily.

One goal against versus the Jets is pathetic, 4 should get you bought out.
As bad as Flames are if they played in the SE against those pathetic teams they are likely a play-off team. An absolutely awful division with 0 even mediocre teams.

If burmistrov can get it together and become a top line guy, him and Kane would make a great tandem.

Sometimes I forget Winnipeg is even in the NHL. They are a team you almost never hear about.
At least we get to see them a little bit next year... it would be great if the Jets could reastablish a bit of a rivalry with the western Canadian teams again.

Lots of games on national television in both Canada and the USA.
HNIC has the tripleheader which began at 1300h with the Flyers-Jets game on right now. It is followed by the Bruins-Habs. Ontario viewers get the Leafs-Devils game instead. The Flames-Canucks is the final game.
In the USA, it is a continuous tripleheader on the NHL Network. The Oilers-Kings game is on which began at 1400h. It is followed by the simulcasts of the HNIC games.
The Jets took off in the second period after being down 1-0. It is 4-1 after two periods for the Jets.
The Blackhawks lead 1-0 midway through the third period. The lone goal was scored by Bickell in the first period. Rinne is keeping this game close for the Predators.
The OOT game of the night is Boston-Montreal.

Chicago hangs on for the 1-0 win. Emery gets the shutout.
The Kings are now up 3-1.

Not so easy for the Oilers to get wins when they're not playing the Flames. That sounds so familiar for some reason...

Jeff Carter pushes Nail Yakupov and finally the young rookie has been touched by greatness. #TRH

Interesting that Regehr is paired with Doughty at even strength.

Good, Kings win. Yakupov was doing a "great" job diving today to get a couple calls. I wonder if that's where the Kings twitter account was referring to?

I woke up Thursday to a half dozen texts from Oilers fan friends rubbing salt in the wounds but I told them all to look at the Oilers remaining schedule and two losses later they are already falling out of the race with two games aginst the Wild, three against the Ducks, the Hawks, Canucks remaining the sledding will be tough. They will likely end up picking near the top 10 when all is said and done and while it's improvement I feel there still not close meanwhile they are burning through all those ELC's and Hall and Eberle will be $6 million dollar players next season and the real fun begins.

You know, I was prepared to write the season off and tune back in at the draft. My interest was rekindled when the Oilers put their top PP unit out while they were up 6-2 in the 3rd against a Flames team that had given up. I am cheering so hard for them to miss the playoffs.

I don't often wish for the Leafs to win, but tonight I am. Let's go Islanders...
