Jay Onrait @NHLFlames Sorry I'm late on this but your Harvey the Hound as Littlest Hobo intro was brilliant. Proud to have been born in Foothills Hosp.
I'm still a little bit upset. I did not know that Saturday was retro night. I like to dress up for it, they have never done a good enough job of pre hyping. The Littlest Hobo segment was great. The retro music was great. And the Flames won. Why does CP have such a hate on for Steve Strachan? Christian was a total dud. He needs a new make up artist, he looks a bit too orange.
Does anyone remember the bugler? If he is still alive i would like him to be brought back for a retro night. Also, the warm up music should start with Van Halens Jump. That is what they came out on to the ice back in the the day, and the "Mike Vernon makes a great glove save" song was always the kid is hot tonight by Loverboy. And back in the day, the home team always wore white!
Thumbs up to the Flames entertainment crew for showing Red Hot during the first intermission. I don't care if most of the players involved are embarrassed by it. That video is pure gold. Patterson, Otto, Lanny quit being douchbags and love Red Hot for what it is. It was Calgarys' answer to the Superbowl Shuffle. Ya, Calgary was bigtime!

Except that the Flames have been doing Harvey skits on the jumbotron for about 20 years now.
I would say you are both wrong. The Bruins never did a parody of The Littlest Hobo. And the Dome got the modern Jumbotron in 96, but did not use Harvey in the segments until 99. Harvey chases an Oilers fan back to Edmonton was one of the firsts. And perhaps the best one ever.
