Default Optometrist for young kids?

Can anyone recommend an optometrist that would be good for a 1 year old? I've never had to wear glasses so I'm a bit lost.

Somewhere preferably in the NW and that can diagnose young kids.

Hesla works with young kids, and I brought my children to him. He's not in the NW...and I'm not sure if he works with children that young (mine are a couple years older), but I still wanted to recommend him.

I think pretty much any optometrist can do this sort of work these days, all your kid will have to do is look into a scope for a couple of seconds and then look at some pictures on a TV...

Completely painless, unlike many decades ago when I was growing up, and they'd put those burning eyedrops in your eys...

Dr. Diana Monea. She has a Kensington location. I can't say enough great things about her. Has a passion for what she does and especially children's eye health. Have taken both my kids there.

Sean Wilson at EyeDesigns in Varsity.

He's got two young ones of his own so kids don't scare him and an incredible amount of patience. I took my child there when they were a year old and he was great.

Edworthy. And if you need a pediatric ophthalmologist, get a referral from your family doctor and be prepared to wait 6 months or so unless it's urgent.
