Default When is Sven back?

I must have missed an update on his projected return.

Im hoping when he does come back that they put him into the top 9 and sit one of the vets who are supposed to score.

He is skating with the team and taking the morning skates while wearing a yellow non-contact jersey. So best case is likely a week?

Though who really knows.

I don't think they will rush him as on the big picture the kid needs to get back to 100% to continue his development.

Removed off topic posts, if you are upset that the team isn't doing well that's fine, but dragging it to every single thread, whining about it with sarcastic replies does nothing to contribute to the thread or the forum.

When Sven comes back, I would like to see him given 1st line minutes, regardless of his defensive play.

We need to groom this kid into being our best player and he needs to know that he won't be punished for making mistakes.

Let's develop this kid and lets develop him right!

Learn from past mistakes hopefully and develop this kid into a superstar.

Second line would be best. Doesn't have to face the top defence, better chance to succeed and get basically the same kind of ice time.

I think it is time to try Cervenka or Hudler at center.

I like to put Sven with them as a solid 3rd scoring line.

he needs to know he won't be punished for making mistakes - are the flames now a country club?

What if glencross or Hudler make a mistake, do they have a get outta jail free card as well........

if sven can't play T6 minutes here in Calgary, then let the folks in Abbotsford work with him and give him T6 minutes there.

So we have no real update aside from Jebus?

The predictions that he is sound premature.

Since the Flames sent down Jones and Horak and calling up only Alui i would guess Sven is a couple game maybe to being back in the lineup.

Ya, I am going to guess he must be close, there really is no other reason to think the Flames would be going with a 22 man roster.

Could see him suit up against Phoenix on Sunday. Nothings pointing to that besides what has already been mentioned.. but it seems likely.

I wonder if it's too late to turn Sven into a center?

Skaking-check
Vision-check
Passing skills-check
Likes to skate with the puck-check
Faceoffs-??

Claude Giroux is a natural right winger but he plays center and has lead his team in faceoffs the last 2 years.

Been mulling something in my head the last little bit with Sven. I know there was some talk during the lock out that if he did not play in the NHL then his ELC would slide one year. Do games count when on the IR? Going back to last year he really has only played 8 games so far. Obviously I want him back ASAP but contract wise I wonder where he sits.
