Default Appliance recycling?

We just replaced a broken glass cook top and we don't know what to do with it.

Hate throwing these things out.

Can we recycle it anywhere?

Try calling a few of the scrappers on Kijiji, you should be able to get it taken away for free (as they sell it to metal recyclers). I had a similar broken glass top range they came and got for free (sadly dont have their contact info).

Might take a couple tries contacting people unless you've got a bit more metal to sweeten the pot, as they'll likely only make a couple bucks on a single stove once gas/pickup is factored in.

Not bad ideas. Just to clarify this is just a drop in cooktop, not a full stove

EDIT: called Trail and they have a drop off for such pieces to be recycled.

Thanks guys.

Glass cooktop? What about breaking more of it into smaller pieces and using it for one of your more abstracted art projects?
