Ill admit i turned the game off half way through the third. I felt about as much give a damn factor of what i percieved the players had.

Goat was a tie between the first line for not showing up and the refs for not calling the stickwork by the Coyotes that led to this eyesore of a game.

Management can't do jack except rearrange the chairs on this Titanic, unless they reverse course and deal away the future. Can't deal our vets now as the return will be sub par compared to the trade deadline. Only can do dufus for dufus deals right now and that won't help this team into the playoffs.

If you look like a bottom feeder, play like a bottom feeder, and are in the bottom of the conference standings, then you are a bad hockey team.

Calgary Flames management and ownership need to stop mixing and drinking the Kool Aid and face the reality.

As an organization are the Flames playing for any purpose this shortened season? It doesn't appear that there is any rhyme or reason to this team...none.

Bad, sometimes mediocre, and rarely solid hockey without a purpose is pathetic when you consider the payroll.

Build towards improving your team instead of rolling the dice with this group of players and mostly disappointing your fans.

With one weak and feeble squat, this team squeezes out yet another foul smelling debacle that completely erases what was a gutsy come back the night before.

I wanna keep liking this team....but they make it really hard.

I really thought with the games we had in hand we'd pass the Oilers in the standings. Guess not.

Hard to take any positives out of that game.

Regarding Taylor, two of the goals were from Flames fire sale in their own zone, the third a seeing-eye puck and the fourth a stinker when the game was out of reach anyway. Despite everything I thought his play was fine and I like his composure. The rest of the team was the problem tonight.

If Feaster had a deal lined up for Iginla I'd say it's time to pull the trigger. First time I've ever put that into print. He's become such a predictable perimeter player - skate down the side boards, stop, try to stick work past the checker and make a pass through two other defenders. Can he even drive the net anymore?

This team has of late matched up poorly against stifling teams. Hartley's first kick at the Coyotes. Frustrating but no big deal. Sunday's response will tell the tale.

For the Flames to have any chance at beating the Coyotes it's imperative they score the first goal to get the Coyotes out of their shell. Of course as has been common of late the team came out not ready to play and the early goal was worst case scenario.

I think the goat from here on out has to be managment/ownership for not blowing this team up. It's pretty clear they can't get it done.

Thanks for the write up. Glad I didn't waste my time watching the game. Knew it would be a snoozer

This might be a blessing in disguise; if the Flames are "eliminated" by the trade deadline, Feaster might get the go-ahead to trade some of the veterans (Iginla, Camallari, ...) for NHL ready "prospects" and picks. We need 21-28 year olds to lead the charge, but for some reason, ownership/management is betting on 30-35 year leading the charge.

I agree with the write up, the best part of the game last night was Hartley's blue suit.

Not even Kipper can win games when the skaters don't score any goals.

We're just too small to work through their stifling system and I don't see much coming down the pipe to solve this.

Meh. It was a second game in two nights. And third in four nights.

In two weeks time the Flames will be two good games away from ninth, and we'll all argue about when we'll grab eighth.

Then by April we'll clinch ninth.

Lots of back to backs and thirds in four this season. If you're going to show up only when you're feeling good, you're not going to get near 9th place let alone the playoffs.
