The goat was a tie between Leland Irving and Dennis Wideman, who had not only his worst game as a Flame, but his worst game in years. That first period was atrocious for number 26.

All of these home games that we have pissed away. It is very frustrating to watch. The defensive lapses have been pretty bad. It becomes a tendency that you need to score 5 goals to secure a victory on a bad night.
Comeau exhibits a fall-for-all. He has been an eye sore this year.
The only reason I could see for Comeau getting prime playing time is to give him one more chance to get on track in a game that was over. Worth the chance in the situation but I think it should be his last chance to move up.

I would give the goat to Wideman. He was absolutely horrible in the 1st period. He coughed up the puck to the Blues on the first three goals. And I believe he was the last Flame to have control on the 4th goal as well. I am really happy with his play this year, but that period was ugly.
