Default Canadiens acquire Dustin Tokarski from TB

Darren Dreger ‏@DarrenDreger
Habs announce: CANADIENS ACQUIRE GOALTENDER DUSTIN TOKARSKI FROM THE TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING IN RETURN FOR CÉDRICK DESJARDINS.

Must have gotten fed up with Budaj.

Good young goalie, might flourish behind Price

lol Tampa Bay traded Ramo for Desjardins in 2010. Now they trade Tokarski for Desjardins? I'm guessing Torkarski wanted out, cause it's weird that TB didn't re-sign Desjardins, but Habs did and now they trade for him.

Agreed, can never hurt having two number one ex-canadian junior goalies.

Odd trade from Tampa's perspective as Tokarski is younger and still a prospect, not playing badly in the AHL and didn't he help win the Calder Cup last year?

Although it did seem odd they didn't seem to want to try Tokarski too much last season when Roloson was playing awful.

They must be confident with Lindbäck going forward, he is only one year older than Tokarski and further ahead in his development.
