JOB OVERVIEW
This position will lead, direct, and manage supply operations activities for a specific business unit by leveraging core supply chain functions to meet requirements for materials and services, and by providing supply chain planning, scheduling, coordinating, warehousing, materials handling, inventory planning, reverse logistics and asset recovery to the business units.
KEY ACCOUNTIBILITIES- Resolve issues escalated by direct reports or others as it relates to Supply Operations
- Ensure Supply Operations personnel understand the business supply requirements and communicate those requirements throughout the Supply Chain Management organization
- Recruit, hire, and retain qualified professionals and technicians
- Provide regular and effective performance feedback to the Supply Operations team
- Clear and concise direction to the team as well business partners
- Responsible for relationship management between the Supply Chain Management organization and Suncor business units
- Establish annual objectives, measures, and performance targets aligned with overall Supply Chain Management objectives and the broader Suncor company objectives
- Drive compliance with Supply Chain Management policies, processes, procedures and strategies to Supply Operations and the business units on an ongoing basis
- Establish and steward budgets and forecasts
- Provide short to medium term planning, scheduling, and coordinating for the supply of material and services
- Manage reverse logistics for materials
- Coordinate with the business unit to mobilize services
- Participate in business unit cross-functional teams to represent the Supply Chain Management organization
- Lead the resolution of general service issues with suppliers
- Provide material handling, warehousing, yard management, inventory planning, tool crib management, reverse logistics and asset recovery services
- Lead and manage contact with business units with regards to warehousing and material handling activities
- Ensure suitable inventory is on-hand to meet business unit requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:- 10+ years of experience in supply chain management with at least 3 years in management roles of increasing levels of responsibility
- Oil & Gas, Mining or Utilities industry experience preferred
- Post secondary business or supply chain degree preferred
- Strong leadership and management in leading high-performance teams required
- Matrix leadership model, independent leadership, influencing senior leaders in the organization, cross functional team experience
Skills and Knowledge:- The role will require strong conflict resolution and leadership skills
- Strong MS Office skills
- A willingness to learn new skills and work both independently and in a team environment
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to deal with competing priorities and manage time appropriately
- SAP experience is considered an asset
WORKING CONDITIONS- The inability to control demand and supply in a volatile market place may add to the stress level
- At some locations, Operations and Maintenance work 24/7, everyday as a normal course of business
- This job is engaged regularly outside normal business hours to support the Supply Operations team, business unit and staff
- Some locations may require significant daily travel to and from worksite
- The role is on a 4 x 3 schedule and requires the individual to reside in Camp accommodations at the site
- Workforce reporting to the role has unionized contractors, temp employees and full time employees
- Dual role managing both warehouse teams and Planning, Schedule and Coordinate teams
