Trusted/Good Florists in Calgary
Hi guys,
Valentine's Day is coming up. I have ordered in the past off FTD Canada and other sites but after my experience last year (Decent chunk of change, what was delivered wasn't what I ordered); I thought I'd go the local route and talk to someone in person instead of online.
Anyone have a good florist in SE/SW Calgary that they'd recommend?
Thanks

How much do you want to spend- that is one of the key factors.

When our daughter was born last year, the flowers that my work sent were from Peaseblossoms. I don't know what the pricing is like, but they were great on arranging delivery with us at a convenient time and the arrangement was stunning.

Probably looking to spend somewhere between $70-$80 range.
Thanks jtfrogger -- I'll look into them.
I pretty much always buy flowers while at CostCo to be honest because they're inexpensive and the wife loves them but this isn't the same thing

Itinerant Flowers Design in North Hill Mall is the only place I go for flowers. I know it is not in the south but I can't recommend them enough. They have a lot of non-standard arrangements (using more exotic flowers than roses/carnations), and have always been awesome to deal with.

I use the one in Marda Loop (on 33rd by the Petro Canada) - they're very helpful in helping arrange custom bouquets according to your budget...

I work for the large scale provider for the major supermarkets, and I cannot tell you how much next week is gonna suck. Last year we cut 46,000+ dozens of roses.

i just go to safeway - i find it silly to spend a ton on flowers that die in a week......even better, whenever i go grocery shopping, i'd just grab a couple of flowers for the house.

if you go to a florist that is reputable the flowers should last at least two weeks. We got a note from out wedding location that our flowers lasted almost 2.5 months.

Dont be a sucker and buy expensive flowers for Valentines Day. Plenty of better things you can do. If there is a time of year worse than Christmas for wasting money it is valentines day.
Flower prices increase right before.
Restaurant prices go up and quality goes down
Hotel prices increase and make you buy extra packages
Better to do it the weak before and cut your costs in half.
