And where - I've always figured they were out of my price range.

I sit in these everyday at work and didn't realize they were so expensive or desirable. Are they really that good?

2000/2001 when we would go into meetings in venture capital fueled tech companies we would judge their survival odds by how many HM chairs were in their meeting rooms. Kind of like a death pool - if this was how you spent an angel investors money, odds were you would go bust before making any money.

They are good chairs though. And it is fun to pay well below retail at another company's expense.

Haha! That's hilarious. Yeah stocking a full boardroom with these at full retail prices would be enough to buy a new car.

Reminds me of all those internet bubble companies that went from affordable warehouse basements to multi-million dollar penthouse offices and then the bubble burst.

Sorry guys, didn't even see the replies after the fact.

Anyways, I found a guy on Kijiji, but also has a connection to a poster here. He told me that he works with corporate movers that actually throw them away. So he takes them and restores them.

I can send you the name if you PM me. He doesn't have steady inventory but had about 5 when I was there in B and C sizes.

I paid about half the price of a new one. He is firm on price but they are in very good condition.
