JOB OVERVIEW
The Shift Supervisor reports to the Operations Manager with primary responsibility for the performance of his/her assigned team of operators ensuring the assets are operated, monitored and maintained in alignment of Suncor's expectations. This position has shared responsibility for day-to-day management of safe, stable, efficient and reliable production within the operating area.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES- Implement Area Manager directives with concurrence of Operations Manager where appropriate
- Responsible for shift scheduling and all other personnel related administrative duties
- Responsible for managing all CEP personnel consistent with the labor contract and utilizes Area Manager for support and maintaining a collaborative CEP relationship
- Accountable for all process operating activities carried out by operators (Unit Leads, field operators, console operators, and trainees) including but not limited to operator rounds, work permits, shift logs and shift handover quality
- Accountable for operator's execution of all work to a high standard of safety and operating integrity
- Accountable for ensuring field level risk assessments and risk escalation protocol are followed and all permitting, VIVC and risk mitigation processes meet Suncor standards
- Responsible for the quality and effectiveness of operator training including development and stewardship of all training plans, monitoring of progress and final certification
- Accountable for unit housekeeping
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:- Minimum 10+ years of supervisory experience in the oil and gas industry
Skills and Knowledge:- Excellent people skills, troubleshooting techniques and ability to make informed decisions are critical requirements for this role
- Fast paced, highly dynamic organization
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION- This is a shift position, working 3 days, 3 nights and 6 days off
- Overtime will be necessary over critical period times
