Blues have acquired Travis Zajac in a deal with the BJ's that sees James Van Riemsdyk go the other way.

We believe Zajac could be in for a great season (whenever that is) playing top line minutes with Kovalchuk. JVR may have a higher ceiling but is much riskier to reach his potential and will have to battle Lupul for top line minutes in Tor.
Blues were also desperate for another Center as none of our 3 decent LW's could play there so this helps solve that problem for now.
Adding another 1st was the key to pulling the trigger here though as the Blues continue their search for top picks in the upcoming draft. If you have any and are willing to part with them, I'm sure we can work something out.
