Kijiji, Beyond, Craigslist? Where do Calgarians look for rental housing?
Spent some time last night looking through kijiji and craigslist for rental housing in Calgary, and was underwhelmed by the results.
Is there another place Calgarians post their rental properties that I should know about?

It compiles the results from many different sites.
Holy crap, Calgary is expensive.

Not only that, it's multiple offers. In august i had requests for 14 showings in the first 10 minutes after i posted. insane.
I'm pretty sure rentfaster has an email alert setting where it alerts potential renters of a new listing in an area.

Yeah the past 4-5 years the calls I get when listing places is almost exclusively from rentfaster.ca, with kijiji being a distant second. I can't remember the last time I got someone from craigslist. For Calgary anyway.

craigslist for Calgary is like buying a bargainfinder newspaper in 2004.

RentFaster and PadMapper are the two I've used.

Kijiji is what I use to rent out, and haven't had any problems.
Have never tried rentfaster.ca, but it sounds like a good site as well.
And don't forget rental vacancy right now in Calgary is pretty low. It's pretty hard to find a good place.

Rentfaster is amazing for landlords, but almost useless for renters in the current market.
Rentfaster is like putting your resume into companies through Calgaryjobshop.ca.

Rentfaster only costs the landlord. It's free for renters. I don't even bother posting places anywhere else except rentfaster, as it's only $25, and it's the main place renters look.
If looking on rentfaster has failed you as a renter, I'd go driving around the neighbourhood you're interested in, contrary to that stupid Hopewell commercial. I guess that applies more to people that are looking in high rental neighbourhoods, as single family homes in suburban neighbourhoods don't usually have a For Rent sign. But if you're looking in Marda Loop or any similar inner city area, just drive around and look for signs. I've had success doing that a few times.

I prefer posting on rentfaster, but I end up going both rentfaster and Kijiji (since Kijiji is free anyway). Had good success with both.
