Actually, the title belongs to Humpty's. Ricky's is good.

I guess you never dined at the Bowness Hotel. You have to pay before they bring you your food, and your meal comes on a paper plate.
Humpty's is good for the hangover breakfast.

I actualy didn't mind Ricky's for a while there. Then they one in Crowfoot started to suck badly, and I haven't been to any since.
Lots of seniors there though.
Back on topic, the reputation of Fatburger is huge, but is it warranted? Are they that good? What makes them different?
Maybe we'll get a Whitecastle....heheh stupid movies....

For chain franchises to eat, I gotta agree that Humptys is quite terrible.

Careful what you wish for IHH.
I've eaten at White Castle. I wouldn't reccomend it.

I don't know which one you ate at before but I always go to the Ricky's by North Hill Mall for breakfast, I would say they're way better than anything from Denny's, Smitty's or Humpty's

Agreed. If you want good breakfast Ricky's fits the bill. Humpty's used to be half decent but a few years back the food quality took a nosedive to the bottom of the barrel. I've never had a bad meal at Ricky's. Perhaps it is because I usually only choose breakfast but let's not kid ourselves, folks. You don't order the steak at a Breakfast Restaurant and expect it to be chophouse quality.

Fatburger is nothing special - it is just like Peter's Drive-In without the e-coli. Like Peter's it has a huge reputation but I really don't find anything special about either places burgers.

What US restaurant chain would you like to see in the city?
I always thought Applebees would be good, but I've been to the one at Northpoint and I'm not impressed. Now I'm curious about TGI Fridays.

TGI Fridays is good.
Are we talking restaurants or fast food? For fast food I'd say Jack in the Box. I could go for a sourdough Jack right about now.

I guess it depends on where you live. While Humpty's sure isn't fine dining, here in Lethbridge Denny's has got to take the crown for worst restaurant. No competition. Both of those restaurants make Ricky's look fancy.

TGI Fridays is totally ghetto chain trash, you dont want any part of it unless mediocre food and "flair" are your thing . It's the same "Moe's Family Feedbag" style of restaurant you see everywhere, you dont need another one, and is usually filled with trailer trash.

Ah, White Castle. Nobody has perfected "so bad its good" as these guys. I dunno what it is, the low-quality meat or the oniony aftertaste, but my mouth starts wattering as soon as I see a sign half a mile away.

Been to one in Vegas a few years back.
They make no apologies for being a hamburger stand, serving big hamburgers. Little ambience, little else on the menu from what I recall, other then different variatons of hamburgers.
Of course, fries and shakes, but no salad or chicken fingers, maybe a chicken burger at most.
Somehwat like Willy's but a little brighter/flashier and a decent amount more better tasting....at least thats what the Vegas one was.

I find them somewhat greasy. They're huge burgers though, and taste absolutely nothing like Peter's.
They are not a Ricky's franchise. They simply have the franchise rights. Which means that they will probably have no say as to the quality and service of the food being served - they have to follow franchise rules.

Carls Jr. rocks. When I go to the States, I always have to make a stop there when I see one. Although, I have never seen one in the eastern US.
