What other way is there with something that lives under water and moves continually?

Local environmentalists and government officials had negotiated to release the fish so it could continue its spawning migration in the far north of Thailand, near the borders of Thailand, Laos, Myanmar and China, but the adult male later died.

Wonder how old that one is.... simply amazing.
Ironic that in trying to protect the species, they killed one of the few remaining. Had this been a whale off the coast of Canada, all hell would be breaking loose....

Good point. I was thinking of that. I was asking myself, why they didn't just tag it and let it go. Dumbasses. They killed a fish probably order than them.

The fishermen had hoped to sell the massive fish to environmental groups, which planned to release it to spawn upriver, but it died before it could be handed over, and was later chopped up and sold in pieces to villagers to be eaten.
So did they keep it in their fish tank while waiting for the environmental groups to get to the ATM?? idiots! At least it didnt' go to waste.
How nasty would that taste? regular catfish is like the ratmeat of seafood. This gigantic big ass catfish would taste worse i'm sure!

My god, thats huge.
I couldn't imagine fishing in a lake and landing that. You would think it was a rock or a log or something.
