icon57 Roman Frickin Horak!

I couldn't help myself, I had to create a Frickin Horak thread. What a crazy explosive start for Roman this season. I was the one who first started these 'Frickin' threads when I did one for Ryan Howse. I guess I should have been paying attention to who was making all those passes to Howse. It would be so awesome if Horak becomes a much better NHL pro then Tim Erixon.

Just about the most deserving Flames prospect/player for a Fricken thread at the moment. Loved what Troy Ward had to say about him and I'm excited to see him and Baertschi develop more chemistry.

Incredible pass by Baertschi on Horak's first highlight goal in that second video.

I think it was a great move by Ward moving Horak to the wing. Allows Horak to be a lot more opportunistic while his center draws defenders

Couple of nice go-to-the-crummy-areas-and-put-in-some-solid-hard-work goals there in the videos posted. We've sorely missed that type of scoring on the big club for some time now.

And that's what I've been noticing too. Everything single one of his goals so far (minus the tip shot last night) have been within about 6' of the goal. I'm not going to complain, and those clean up goals are great, but I want to see if Horak can snipe it.

Looking good for this year's Cy Young Award with those numbers.

Doesn't matter how they go in, just that they do. Ryan Smyth could never "snipe it" but made millions off those goal-mouth dirty goals.

Horak is looking like he will be a solid Calgary Flame, and if Granlund and Wotherspoon turn out to solid Flame players. The Erixon trade could be a huge victory for Feaster and our Calgary Flames.

Horak: 9 games, 10 goals, 1 assist, 11 points, and +4

Granlund: 18 games, 4 goals, 7 assists, 11 points, and +4

Wotherspoon: 14 games, 1 goal, 12 assists, 13 points, and +17

Erixon: 8 games, 0 goals, 2 assists, 2 points, and +1

Given he's at 29% shooting rate last I checked, it's not going to be sustainable, but I like Horak. Smart player who gets some nice in close goals.

If he keeps improving, he'll probably be a capable bottom 6 forward for the Flames. Decent recoup of Erixon's value.

If Jay Feaster was excited in June 2011, he’s likely ecstatic now in November 2012.

One thing to note about Granlund is this year he isn't playing with his brother Mikael who many say is responsible for why Markus had so many points last year.

Currently sitting at 19 games and 11 points without his big brother, that's pretty good. Though I don't know who he plays with now.
