Default CJSW Funding Drive 2012

http://us5.campaign-archive2.com/?u=...&id=405c7af5cb

CJSW is taking Funding Drive to astronomical levels with this year's 'Radio Science'. From Friday, October 19th till October 27th CJSW airwaves will be taken over by funding drive madness as we strive to raise $200,000.

Currently the station broadcasts its FM signal within Calgary at 4000 watts, but with the help of its listeners CJSW hopes to increase its wattage to over 20,000, making it one of the highest powered community radio stations anywhere in Canada.

Join us at one of our many pre-drive events and get excited! While you're at it don't miss our one of a kind Kick off Party at the Rothney Astrophysical Observatory! It will be an evening of ambient music performances, full access to all four research grade telescopes and partying with all your favourite CJSW DJs.

DJ: Well, I'd spin it for you, but you know, ain't no one going to
hear it. Our broadcast range is only 23 feet which makes us the
most powerful jazz station in the entire US of A.
Lisa: Gee, your station has a lot of problems.
DJ: Tell me about it: just look at our morning guy.
Hans: Hello. This is Moleman in the morning. Good Moleman to you.
Today, part four of our series of the agonizing pain in which I
live every day...
DJ: He's only 31,

I'm glad to see they've kept the incentives simple. In previous years I'd have to make two or three smaller pledges to get the stuff I wanted. That just makes more work for the volunteers.

*bump*

I'd just like to mention that CJSW is at the $155,000 mark with today and tomorrow to go.

I, personally think that CJSW is a pretty important cultural landmark for Calgary that's worth supporting.
