Default Neo-Nazi to challenge Charter

Doesn't give many details.

Holy bad reporting batman

They're making a Charter challenge, but it doesn't say for what.

The article also doesn't say how being a neo-Nazi is even remotely relevant. I'm not defending their beliefs, I think their beliefs are horrible, but what they believe has no relevance in the article. It's there solely to make he public hate the idea of universal Charter rights.

Again I'm not defending the accused in any way, shape or form, but seriously Calgary Herald what in the blue blazes of hell is that? I'd expect that type of reporting from Fox News, not a Canadian newspaper.

If this Charter challenge has anything to do with s. 15 (equality) rights, this thing will be struck down under s. 1 so fast his bald head will spin.

The only reason I assume it will have s. 15 elements is because of his neo-Nazi beliefs. If this has to do with your usual run-of-the-mill criminal defence, it will likely be a s. 7 challenge.

1. Tattooing the word skin on your forehead is ######ed. That should be in the goddamn charter.

2. His beliefs may not have anything to do with this, but I'd be willing to bet (not a pube bet, those are gross) that his challenge is going to be something astoundingly stupid.

Like; "Cheese should be illegal because its yellow" or something equally intelligent.

Once again, the people who comment on online Calgary Sun stories make me weep for the fate of this country.

My apologies, being from a one paper town I often forget that real cities have competition.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was a more standard Charter challenge with regard to section 8, and the Calgary Sun is trying to make a story out of nothing.
