Is that normal, "non-believers are not allowed in?
Is it bigger than the Carston one I wonder?

Such a cool building, even if I think Mormonism is stupid.
I may have to take a tour, I'm only about 5 mins away.
Article doesn't give any info on actually touring it:

I believe so, remember this isn't just a regular Mormon Church.
In the Latter Day Saint movement, a temple is a building dedicated to be a house of God and is reserved for special forms of worship. A temple differs from a church meetinghouse, which is used for weekly worship services.

I'm sure as a non member if you showed up to their regular church on Sunday they would welcome you with open arms.

My high school had a huge mormon population.......such lovely young ladies. I had a real hard spot for mormon girls.

Interesting little tidbit that many of you may not know. The reason that Cardston, Magrath and Raymond are around and LDS hotbeds is because the Mormons actually dug the irrigation canels in the area in exchange for land grants from the Canadian government for more Mormon settlers

Ex-mormon here. I always thought that non-believers weren’t allowed in the temple. Hummmm.

The grounds surrounding the temple in Cardston, and any other meetinghouse, are always in immaculate shape. At the temple, Tree wells are edged perfectly and not a weed to be found, it really is quite something to see.
No i'm not mormon either.

Work takes me to Cardston quite often and as strange as the religion is too me - the people are fantastic, caring, polite and always seem happy.

It's not holy yet, so they don't have to worry about the unwashed mashes tarnishing anything.
Once that baby gets the ol' blessing from Voldemort or whoever, you can bet you won't be let inside without a few handshakes and some church derived nicknames.
Also, you'd better be wearing your magic underwear.

I already booked a tour for the middle of the day after Thanksgiving.
Once in a lifetime opportunity to see inside it, before it gets dedicated, unless you become a member of course.

My gf lives right next to that temple. I see it quite a bit, it's taken for f'n ever to complete that thing.
The lighting on it at night is beautiful, though. Everyone should check it out, if only for its architectural uniqueness.

I have heard it looks amazing at night since they turned the lights on. Pretty much no chance me being near there when it is dark though, seeing as it is at the complete opposite end of town from me.
Anyone know which major roads it can be seen from? Crowchild?

Religion is a rather expensive lifestyle. God must be worshiped in only the nicest buildings possible.

Don't mormons have to donate like 30% of their earnings or something insane like that?

I think tithing (generic term) is common in most western religions.
