Default Lost Cat

Hey CP, please help me find my cat Sadie who ran off last night.

I live in the community of Renfrew. Sadie is a very petite short haired cat, probably very skittish.

If you see her, let me know.

Did you file a report with the City? (311)

Also you can call some local vets and just give them a description in case someone brings her in.

Hope you find her! My cat ran off in a thunderstorm one night and just waltzed back 24 hours later like it was no big deal (but it kind of was since he was never an outdoor cat before that!). Maybe leave some food outside for her too? That might help!

Called her in first thing this morning. She's a complete princess, so we are pretty worried about her.

"Ran off" is probably different than "escape."

Average lifespan of an outdoor cat is about two or three years.

Average lifespan of an indoor cat is about ten to twelve years.

Yeah, Grant, go ahead. I posted her photo and some details on the YYC Pet Recovery page.

She's an indoor cat (total princess) who managed to get outside, along with our other two when the back door wasn't closed completely, and one of our cats pulled it open. The other two came back after we noticed that the door was open; they were just in the yard.

Checked under our deck, but she's definitely not there. I'm hoping she's somewhere near by, hiding under a neighbours deck or something like that.

Yeah, cats often end up under decks for some reason. I would constantly check under your deck, as when they can't get inside they'll hide under there for hours on end. It's just a total bitch to get them out after being outside for a couple days.

True. Quite often they don't go far. They just hole up somewhere and then come back when they work up the courage or get hungry enough. Also, remember to look up in trees for her. I had a cat that tree'd herself so high that it took 2 days before she came down.

Cute cat. I like how big her head looks compared to the rest of her. I think you will find her.

Bump! Sadie was found this morning and returned to us. She's super thing (I'd guess about 2-3 lbs) but otherwise okay after nearly a month missing.

I'm happy for you.

Cat's are super resilient. What were the circumstances around finding her?

She'll probably sleep pretty close tonight.

All I know is,that she was turned in to a vet yesterday or this morning and brought to impound late this morning. I wish I knew who it was so I could thank them.
