Anyone else considering purchasing this? 1/2 net profits go to charity, and only $5.00 American.
Might be a good show.
From the FAQ, you do get a download, later, if you don't want to spend your saturday night drinking rum and watching the rumble...

We kindly ask that you do not redistribute or share "The Rumble 2012." Stream it live, watch it again later and when the download is available - it's yours to keep forever! Burn it to a DVD, archive it in your library - store it in any medium you wish! Remember, one-half of the net profits from "The Rumble 2012" wil'l be donated by O'Reilly and Stewart to a number of charitable causes.
Post-debate, I boldly predict those of a left-leaning persuasion will declare Stewart the winner and those of a right leaning persuasion will declare O'Reilly the winner.

Will the moderator allow Bill to yell at Jon, and speak out of turn?
I think these two men might like each other more than they admit - this is show business.
I for sure think they like each other. In fact when they do talk on TV there is generally allusions to conversations theyve had off camera. Just because people differ in certain ideologies doesn't mean they can't be friends. They probably enjoy arguing with each other. Theyre both intelligent guys, just on different ends of the spectrum.
I actually have to give O'Reilly credit as being substantially less insane and well, programmed, than many of his right-wing colleagues (Hannity comes to mind). Is he still a bit of a knob? Totally, but I'd say he's a less annoying knob than the rest.

So doing this makes all his past ######baggery go away?
Little sensitive about this are we?
He's over the top on his interviews and tends to scream and yell at people he disagrees with.
That being said he's far from your right-wing nutjob.
Just quickly going through the past history between O'Reilly and Stewart on Youtube I wouldn't be surprised if they aren't actually friends outside of their shows. They always go back and forth. And good on them for doing this.

Both of them promote each other all the time. Not only their respective shows, but books or whatnot. They often allude to each other as friends when they debate. They're fun to watch, even if you don't agree with one or the other.

The only way I could believe Bill O'Reilly has anything more than a slightly above average intelligence is if his entire act was just a way to get the right crowd to watch his show in order to make lots and lots of money. If he honestly believes half the stuff he says . . . I can't say I'd call that intelligent.

Well admittedly, I dont watch much (or any) of O'Reilly other than what I've seen in passing and his interviews with guys like Stewart and Colbert, but even with his differing views they have very respectful and healthy debates and I feel like thats a sign of intelligence from both sides IMO.
Also I absolutely think O'Reilly panders to a certain crowd for ratings boost/income boost, also showing he's intelligent in reaping the slow and stupid of America for all their worth. He is defintiely a right-wing guy, but I really don't think he's as far right as he's portrayed on his show and his interviews with these guys show his more moderate than he has his audience believe. Its completely different than a guy like Beck who I really think is as every bit as batspit crazy as he seems.

Yeah I'm pretty sure they like each other quite a bit, and I'm sure I would like him as well.
I never said he was a right wing nutjob, what I have a major issue with is how he talks to people on his show, its a frustrating way of interviewing people which I can't stand, right, center or left.
There are certain people who actually believe what they're saying but are saying it in a way so as to make for "good TV", and certain people who are playing a role in order to increase their audience and make money. I believe Bill actually believes a lot of what he is saying, but plays it up for the crowd to make the whole thing more boisterous and entertaining. I think Rachel Maddow is the same way, I think Keith Olbermann was the same way, it's just that the dramatics from the left come across more as smug and insufferable whereas when the right wing hosts do it, they look like dense bullies. Nonetheless, on both sides, the central ideology and central point is genuine, it's just dressed up.
There are other people who say things that their heart isn't really in - they're actors. I really believe Sean Hannity is one of these people. I think Ann Coulter has to be one of these people. I've heard this levied at Ed Schultz, but I haven't really watched much Schultz so I can't really judge.
