Default Gift Ideas

I have an employee that will have his 25th anniversary with the company in 2013. He has been here "since the start".

I have a budget of around $1000.00.

Any ideas on gift to mark this event?

A golden retriever. The gift that keeps on giving.

Or a child's laughter.

Fair enough. Perhaps he will not complain about a 1 carat Diamond Studded nose ring?

Our company recently had someone with the company for 10 years and they brought in a singing telegram. The lady that sang had a personalized song, and gave a bunch of dorky gifts. It was a funny gift and everyone in the office seemed to like it. No idea on how much it cost.

Is your employee married? Maybe give them a weekend getaway in Banff of something.

Actually, point him to CP and then tell him you made a $1000 donation on his behalf

It's the gift that keeps on giving.

A luxury watch would be a good idea. You can get a Tissot, Oris, or even a Raymond Weil for under a grand. You can also get the case back engraved.

The flights alone would take a nice chunk out of that $1000 you got.
