JOB OVERVIEW
The position will be responsible for Voyageur Upgrader Instrument & Electrical equipment reliability and safety with the consistent application and compliance of Suncor's I &E equipment technical standards and industry standards, codes and local regulations. Responsible for leading the I&E group to apply best practices and achieve best in class I&E equipment reliability performance, ensuring that technical guidance is delivered to the Operating Organization to achieve optimal solutions during commissioning, start up and routine operation, providing project support in I&E equipment and providing active leadership with respect to our safety "Journey to Zero".
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES- Be a part of Voyageur Upgrader Maintenance team; lead the group of I/E equipment specialists.
- Provide I/E equipment technical support to Voyageur Upgrader project with a focus on safe, reliable and efficient operation
- Provide expertise in I/E equipment strategy, maintenance task lists, spare parts, and maintenance procedure development
- Ensure consistent application and compliance of Suncor's technical standards and industry standards
- Develop and maintain documented business processes which support a best in class equipment availability and cost performance.
- Support the development of maintenance training programs
- Support trouble shooting and equipment failure root cause investigations
- Provide active leadership with respect to our Safety journey to Zero within personal safety and process safety
- Work collaboratively with the CFT and other peers to ensure that operational risk is effectively determined and minimized.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:- Eligibility for registration with APEGGA, or other combinations of education and experience will be considered
- A minimum of 10 years maintenance or reliability experience with I&E equipment
- Demonstrated experience within a refining, upgrading, or a petrochemical environment would be an asset
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities and execute with limited supervision
- Excellent interpersonal/negotiation skills with strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong computer skills are required for this position
- Be a leader with the ability to deliver on aggressive timelines

- Frequent site visits, increasing frequency as Project moves to completion and on to commissioning
