All MLM are pretty much the same, unless they offer a product that is actually unique in some respects, they are just going to be charging more for the same products and/or services.
My wife is involved in one, where the product is somewhat unique and the pricing is either comparable or cheaper to the majority of the other options that are available. That's the only reason I let her do it without putting up a fight, because I consider trying to sell stuff that is overpriced to your friends and family, one of the crappiest things you can do.
I signed up for one last year, both out of sympathy for my Grandpa who always does these things and because it was free to me, and after seeing the actual cost of the product you had to 'sell', I realized it was junk and never touched it again.
