JOB OVERVIEW
You are a part of a team of environmental professionals who ensure that environmental direction and support are provided to Suncor's Oil Sands plant operations
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES- Support compliance achievement to all regulatory and approval conditions
- Ensure environmental direction and support are provided to plant operations
- Be part of a team of environmental professionals and provide support to supervisors
- Participate in on-call reporting duties
- Participate on Business Area Technical Cross Functional Teams
- Participate on regional environmental committees
- Provide regulatory expert advice regarding provincial and federal environmental legislation
- Assist with environmental incident prevention and incident follow-up
- Liaise with regulatory agencies with respect to environmental aspects of site activities
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:- Minimum of five years experience in the environmental department of a large industrial facility
- Degree in Science or Engineering from a recognized university. A Master's degree is preferred.
Skills and Knowledge:- Good technical, communication and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of pertinent provincial and federal regulatory Acts and Regulations (e.g. CEPA, EPEA, Oil Sands Conservation, and the ERCB) would be beneficial
