2 chairs from Victoria BC church sell for $758,500

All I can say is wow...

Over five frantic minutes, bidders for two rare 17th century Ming chairs that sat virtually unnoticed in Victoria’s St. Matthias Anglican church for years sold for $630,000 at Sotheby’s New York auction today.
The hammer came down at $630,000 but the total price, including the buyer’s premium, totalled $758,500, Sotheby’s noted.

I saw this on the news a week or two ago. The chairs were just sitting around for years without anyone knowing their true value. Pretty cool.
