JOB OVERVIEW
The Site Supervisor for the Wintering Hills Wind Plant will be responsible for the overall safety, effectiveness and efficiency of site assets and the successful operation of 55 GE 1.6 MW wind turbines. The incumbent will lead a team of technicians and be responsible for the day to day operations of the Wind Plant and all balance of plant assets.
KEY ACCOUNTIBILITIES- Responsible for the safe, efficient and effective operation of the wind plant
- Lead a team of technicians to achieve operational goals including internal availability and production goals, with no lost time accidents or incidents
- Act as the Suncor liaison for landowners and project contractors & customers
- Provide reporting of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on wind turbines and Balance Of Plant assets
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:- Bachelor's or technical degree in either Electrical or Mechanical discipline from an accredited institution
- Looking for minimum of 5 years experience with Wind turbine or rotating equipment
- Five+ years managerial experience with Operations and Maintenance in a renewable environment
Skills and Knowledge:- Technical background preferred in the area of rotating equipment, hydraulics, and electrical
- High voltage and substation experience a must
- Demonstrated leadership skills to direct and manage a team of technicians
- Ability to hold certification in Fall Arrest & High Angle Rescue, Confined Space Entry and Electrical Lock Out Tag Out procedures
- Able to work at heights and in extreme weather climates
- Good communication skills
- Self-driven, accountable and demonstrates ownership
- Experience with SAP a plus
WORKING CONDITIONS- You will be required to live in or relocate to the Drumheller area
