Default Free or Cheap song mixing software?

OK so I have not idea what I'm doing but I volunteered to mix together 3 songs for a friends daughters for a dance class.

Its really pretty simple (I think) I need to take 3 songs and splice them together to create one 3 minute song. They don't needed to be sampled, or overlapped. just basically take 60 seconds from each song and add them all together.

I'm a PC not Mac guy, and use windows media player, so the songs are in MP3 form.

Any help or direction would be awesome.

Thanks!

You'll want to convert it to an mp3 if you're using Audacity.

Follow the instructions and install this. It'll let you export your file as an MP# instead of a huge wav file.

I forgot about that, thanks - definitely grab the MP3 export plugin from the Audacity site as well when installing it. But Audacity will definitely do everything you are asking for once you've installed it and the plugin.
