Default Where to Sell Jewelry?

I bought a large number (over 200) of gold rings at an auction.
Now I'm looking to flip them.

Does anyone know a place in Calgary that buys them? There's men's wedding bands, signet rings, and many women's gemstone and fancy rings. I'm looking for a jewelry store or a place that'll give me more than scrap gold pricing.

One place to start could be the sponsored jewelry sub-forum here. Other than that I am of no use.

Who buys 200 rings on a whim without a firm plan to sell them?

Someone who knows a great deal when he sees one I knew that even at scrap gold pricing I would make money on it. I just want to make more, if possible.

I'm positive wherever I go, that will be the presumption, so I've printed out the receipt, but just blocked out how much I paid for the lot.

You should melt them down and create a golden idol.

Is gold usually sold at an auction? It is a pretty sought after metal so why would it need to go to an auction and why would they sell it at a discount?

Sorry, but I just can't wrap my head around you getting a good deal on gold. They are at the auction for a reason IMO and I think you will likely soon find out that reason. Wouldn't it make more sense for the auction to melt it down themselves and make their profit higher?

^^^

This. Getting a deal on gold, is like getting a deal on 10 dollar bills. It doesn't make sense. I would get a gold testing kit, and see what you actually have. There is a good chance they are just plated.
