Default Battle.net compromised.

Yet another reason to start using two-stage verification with Gmail. Battle.net has not been compromised. With the string of compromises across the tech industry, it's really better to be safe than sorry.

Official release statement: http://us.blizzard.com/en-us/securityupdate.html

FAQ and what you should do NOW (would recommend you read): http://us.battle.net/support/en/arti...ity-update-faq

I've already changed my PW, but sounds like all Battle.net accounts will be prompted to change their secret question and answer in the coming days. NO, you can not do this now.

FYI: Doesn't matter if you have an authenticator or not. Change you PW for now.

With regard to Mobile Authenticators, information was taken that could potentially compromise the integrity of North American Mobile Authenticators. We have no evidence that other regions were affected. We are working quickly to provide software updates to users.

I wonder if we should worry about dormant accounts?

Mine got hacked too. Got an email a couple days ago. Haven't played WoW in years but changed my PW anyways. Need to change the PW on my email too. It's been far to simple for far to long.

Not sure if it's related though as they said my account was detected as running an illegal hack of sorts. Pretty sure if I logged in to WoW my doods will be naked and broke but no biggy. Wasn't really a hard core player anyways and certainly didn't have an "l337" gear or anything....
