I changed my settings a while ago to 40/page. I feel like its a comfortable size. I'm pretty sure this is the first time I've mentioned it though and I do agree that the people who seem to think that having more posts/page means they are somehow better are truely annoying.

I would never change my posts per page to 40 since I recently learned that the number 4 is associated with death in Chinese culture.

default here. i really don't think clicking on a next page link is that cumbersom, and when viewing a thread with a lot of pictures or video (especially on a mobile device) it would be annoying to click the "last read" button and reload a ton of stuff you've already seen before. 20 posts per page keeps everything neat and organized

Yeah default for me too. Mostly because I hate having it load images/videos for 10 min if its at maximum. And then reloading again when you go back a page.
