Hope they can pull out of this mini-nose dive. Glad I didn't go down to Seattle again this year... seeing Snider get traded and that performance would have been tough.

It's alright if they lose.
They're currently in the 12th overall pick slot, which is protected. They'll have more $ to spend on the draft, and they'll not have to worry about losing their pick if they decide to buy a top player in free agency.

7 runs in 4 games on this road trip. Pathetic.

Offence has seriously dried up & EE's apparently been playing with a sore heel the last few games. As if this team needs any more injuries...

This season doesn't even bother me, ridiculous amount of injuries ... what can you do?

I agree in what can you do, but man, with all the hype (which I probably built up internally) it sure has been a huge letdown. I can't even bring myself to take time outta my day to watch the games anymore. I still listen to them on the radio - but it is getting tough.

Looking forward to watching Straily pitch tonight. Impressive that he leads all of baseball in strikeouts considering he pitches in the PCL, a hitters league.

Well, the Jays were likely headed to an 85 win finish before the injuries. Right now we're trending more to a 75-80 win finish. It's not like we''d have been in the playoffs pretty much either way.
Just sucks because you can actually start to see things coming together and possibly developing into a championship calibre team but they still have a few too many holes on the team. hopefully AA can fix even half of them in the off season and we should be good to go.

Not that it's likely going to matter, but what was Rasmus doing there? Gose clearly had a good line at the fly ball and was in good position to catch it and at least attempt a throw to home, but Rasmus comes in at a worse angle and takes the catch away and has a much worse angle to throw it home.
I've seen him do that to Gose a couple times recently, it's getting annoying. He better start yelling louder, because Gose sure looks surprised when he pulls that off.

Buck is right, the CF has priority in the outfield, however I think it it has lot to do with Gose being a CF playing RF and not quite being used to being called off. Just a learning process really, we saw it last year when Jose and Rasmus at times had similar plays.

And Gregg Zaun agrees
Gregg Zaun @greggzaun Gose needs to realize he isn't the CF for the Jays

Yeah, I understand Colby has the right to make that call or not, but I have two issues with that last play: Gose looked like he was lined up better to make the play at home, and, maybe Gose is deaf or something, but it seems like Rasmus isn't making it known a little better he's taking the ball. Gose has to be aware in that situation, but maybe Colby needs to yell a bit louder or something to make sure there's no confusion.
