So There Is No Hockey And CP Implodes - Your Predicitions...
- The witch hunt of returning posters will be cranked up to maximum.
- Someone from the NHL13 GM League will start blogging and posting highlights which we will devour like Santa's reindeer eating elves.
- Peter12 will make like Joaquin Phoenix and rick-roll us all on some kind of trailer park hip-hop career. Shaggy beard and all.
-A record number of users banned.
- The man, myth, and legend "CaptainCrunch" shall make his triumphant return.

CP creates an adult only section in the forum. Creates only 50 new members.
I create a bunch of uninspired hockey backgrounds because I end up hating the sods for the lockout/strike.
Funny video and picture thread hits 1000 new pages in one month.
Pissing matches left right and centre resulting in many casualties and forced vacations from the over worked MODS.
Iginla runs out of Calgarypuck luck and gets banned again.

I lived through the dark days of 2005 on CP. Honestly a lockout would hardly change my CP habits, as I almost never go into the FOI these days anyway.

Are you new around here? CP existed during the last lockout too.
- The fire and ice forum contained mainly discussions about the CBA, and it was in several threads, not just one big mega thread.
- This was where the OT forum really took root. It existed before but with no on-ice action to talk about, combined with people's addictions to CP people embraced the OT forum.
- Everybody hated D'ohboy with a passion. Not that people don't hate him anymore, but there seemingly a thread per day about Bruce.

No, seriously. That's what happened. It actually wasn't a very depressing time, the conversations were quite good. Perhaps one of the best eras for good conversation on CP.

I had considered this.
But this is supposed to be a SATIRICAL thread!

It was a good time in the history of CP, you could actually get 1 or 2 pages before the mud slinging and thread de-railment began..
Of course I didn't post much back then but I did enjoy reading.
As far as my predictions, more of the long-time members will stop posting.

I dont know about the rest of you, but I plan on forming a posse, overthrowing society and filling the empty hole in my life by organizing fights between children, hobos and chinchillas for cheese sandwiches.
Granted, its such an awesome idea that I may do that regardless....

There were other hockey type things as well such as the top 25 Flames of all time in which Kiprusoff barely cracked the top 25 (after having played 38 regular season games or something).

This is brilliant. I'll put together the camera crew. Bingo can work out the webstream, and then Jiri and Locke can do play by play and color commentary.

You can't try to make a satirical thread on CP. There is a CP Law of Inversion in which serious threads about horrible crimes become 'who can come up with the best one-liner' contests and joke threads become 'why won't someone think of the children' threads.
If you wanted a satirical thread you should have gone with something like this:
I am, by nature, a highly depressive person, and I am scheduled to go off my meds and be released from the mental hospital on the exact day that the NHL season is supposed to start. I am deeply worried that I may do something drastic if there is no hockey this season.
