Default Summer study locations

I tried looking for that all nighter final exam thread, but I couldn't find it.

I'm sitting in the south wood library right now at a child size table trying to study. It smells like cheese and is actually pretty noisy for a library, although I haven't been in a Calgary public library in Probably 10 years so maybe things have changed.

In any event I'm looking for a place where I can study in the evenings after work for an hour or so each night until September. I would go to a place like mount royal usually but the library is on summer hours and closed during the evenings.

If anyone has any suggestions where there are some larger study areas with tables it would be appreciated. South west would be nice but I will travel a bit if I can get some quiet and a decent spot. I'm sure some of the larger libraries have what I'm looking for but I'm just not sure which ones. Thanks!

Is there a particular reason you need a library? Why not the comfort of your home?

I don't like to study at home, there are too many distractions and I find it hard to sit down and actually get some good studying time in. I find I can study better if I actually go to another location.

I already study an hour before work before anyone gets here, but I don't really want to spend another hour or two after work. I'd like to go home and have dinner and then go out to study again.

U of C, Education building, top floor (right by the Education library). There are about half a dozen breakout rooms in the center and along the sides that are usually unlocked and empty during the summer months. I found this little gem during my University years, and I also used when I studied for the UFE in July/August a few years back.

The library by southcentre mall is huge, so there are tons of really quiet spots to study. Large tables too if you need.

I'm the same way. If I'm at home I'm distracted by TV, computer, porn, food, etc. I'm better off going to a place where I can enjoy the silence and 100% focus. The fishcreek library by Southcentre mall is pretty good. Nice and quiet.

Why not stay downtown? All of the +15 food courts will be deserted, you could find a nice big space to stretch out and study.

Thanks guys, I think I will try the fishcreek library since it is closer to me than downtown and the university and parking will be easy.

I actually don't work downtown. I work way out in Foothills industrial.
