Default USB Drives on Wireless...

I know I should have bought a NAS but...

I have 2 external USB drives (400Gb and 1.5 Tb) that I normally connect to a single desktop and use them as backups for family pictures, music etc...

I am renovating my basement and moving, possibly selling the desktop, and would like to make each USB drive accessible through my wireless router.

Thus making the drives accessible to all devices with a wireless connection.

Thoughts, suggestions ??

Thanks.

Buy a NAS or build a file server from a really cheap PC with wireless connection. I'm not aware of any consumer products that can do what you are asking. What is your budget?

Would a router with USB ports work? I have an external drive hooked up to an Apple Airport Extreme, but think Belkin makes routers with USB support as well.

Yes those basically function as a simple NAS but I've only ever seen ones with single ports mostly.

Even some of the single ones can support multiple drives with a USB hub. Not the most elegant or advanced solution, but it works.
