Didn't Esco miss last game as well? "Back tightness" or something?

Good inning there. Good to see Gose get a RBI and SB.

Wow what a catch by Snider in the 1st.... unbelievable d. If Hech and D'Arnaud are as good in the field as they say the Jays are going to be an amazing fielding team for years to come. Just need to replace KJ with someone who looks like they actually care at second.

Just heard that Hech is on a 10 for 17 tear in the last week or so in vegas, looking forward to getting a look at him hopefully soon.

Gose is just a bit out of his league at the moment. Happ to come out for a 2nd inning to mop up.

Good start from Alvarez today as well. EE with another homer and a couple of walks too. There must be occasions when the Jays wish they were in the AL Central.

Pretty much 24/7/365.

If they were in the central, we wouldn't be in year 19 of a playoff drought and would probably have a 6+ game lead right now

How good has Edwin Encarnacion been at the plate this year. Of course these Jays keep me clinging to hope.

The thing that stands out to me is how improved his on base percentage is. When he first came up in Cincinatti his OBP numbers were pretty respectable being in the 360 range, but it had been way down since he's been a Jay.

I believe he was sent to AAA for short periods each of the past two seasons to work on some things. Rather than sulk or demand a trade/release, he went down and worked his way back up. Hopefully this is a Bautista like breakout season for him and he can be one of the leagues more productive hitters. That Scott Rolen trade is paying off for the Jays...didn't always look like it would.
