Default San Diego's fireworks all go off in 15 seconds

Quote:
In just 15-seconds the city’s entire Fourth of July stockpile of fireworks went off, leaving organizers red-faced, and spectators awaiting a second act — which never came.

Those were some seriously cool fireballs though.

Those that made the trek to a viewing site must have thought the show was going to be epic with such a huge start.........as an aside, it blows me away that the show could start at 9. Fireworks would need to start at 10 around herethese days.....

Gotta say, that's a pretty unique fireworks "show", though. Probably never see anything like it again.

A friend of mine in San Diego was watching the fireworks. He said that this happened about 5 minutes before the show was supposed to start. It was a few of the many barges that were part of a larger display, and they still had 25 minutes of fireworks afterward.

I know, bummer.

And there was 20 minutes of music that I gather they kept playing, including the national anthem. That would have been weird to see.

In Edmonton they started at 11 on July 1 and there's still some light in the sky.

As for the fireworks gaffe, I remember this happening once on New Year's Eve at the Forks in Winnipeg. The first thought is that it's going to be an amazing show. And then... nothing.

Yeah, I saw it on CNN earlier today.

That's right, I watch CNN voluntarily.

Isn't Women's Wimbledon on right now?

That's what teenage bows should be watching on summer vacation.

Actually, now that I think about it, porn is so much more accessible now than when I was a kid, I guess you can do without.
