If your crown broke off, it probably did take a piece of the stem with it.
Is your watch still working?
If it is, then the stem is still in the locked position of the movement. If not, it was pulled out when the crown broke off.
If it's working, you could just get any watch repair place to take the model number of your watch and order you the stem & crown, then go in later to have it installed, which shouldn't take longer than an hour at the most.
If it's not working, and you want it to right away, you could stick a safety pin into the hole the crown fits around and very gently push onto the remaining piece of the stem. That should be enough to get it to work for now, but you will have to do it at whatever time your watch is stuck on now, as there would be no way to change the time after its back to the set position. Like...if you watch isnt working and is stuck at 10:45, then wait until 10:45 before pushing the stem back into place.
If you can post here and leave all the numbers on the back of the watch, as well as any that might be on the dial (probably very fine print under the 6 position), I'm sure I can find you a parts source online and can then post the link so you can order it yourself, then bring it into any watch repair place and have them install it for you.
