Default Getting rid of rabbits!

We live in Cranston and have a few rabbits living under our front stairs and a few that roam the backyard. They look more like someones discarded pets than jack rabbits as they are brown or black and furry.

Obviously sealing the areas in the backyard where they get in will be easy, but what can we do to get them away from the front stairs so we can seal it and away from our front trees and plants?

They have chewed all the plants, circle chewed the bark off a few trees killing them, and are becoming a giant pain.

I have heard of everything from garlic, pepper, hot sauce, to marigolds and certain plants, to different sprays etc discouraging them.

Any suggestions or personal experience? Can i put smoke under the stairs to scare them out?

Thanks for the help!

Try using moth balls first. fill an old sock or fabric bag or onion bag...(get the idea) with 1/3 to 1/2 box of moth balls and put it where you think they live. They won't hang around long and nothing else will either

I spray this over my garden to keep rabbits and other animals out

two or three habanero peppers
one head of garlic
1 liter water
blend to liquify; strain into spray bottle

Just use chicken wire for the plants. They put out great fertilizer for the lawn and will be a good source of protein when the zomby apocolapse kicks into high gear.

Fire? Anyone here mention fire yet? Seems to be the CP solution to any and all pest issues.

Shouldn't this be in the BBQ and Grilling thread?

He hired a dog to catch the rabbits.
He hired a snake to catch the dog.
He hired a gorilla to catch the snake.

Gorillas are apex predators so this is the end of the song.

I've circled plants in blood meal to keep them away before and it worked but that was for jackrabbits not bunnies.
