After 5 minutes of play in singleplayer, I can say this is light years beyond BF1942, DC, and feels like a finished product as opposed to BF:V which was garbage when it first came out.

Amazing.

I liked BF VN. The Flight of the Bumble Bee song when flying the helicopter and knowing your buddy is coming was classic.

Well I played a couple of hours of playing single player and so far I'm pretty impressed. If we can get a number af CPers together I'd be all for wasting the some time online.

For those still trying to download, try EA's public ftp -- Link.
It seems to be region sensitive, so the link may or man not contain the demo, depending on where you're trying to download from.

Well. It's 1/4 to 6am and I've been playing the demo all night/morning. I wasnt sure I was going to get into BF2 but I am loving it. Lots of good features. The medic saving you from spawn, large range of kits, increased kill difficulty (sniper is impossible), the birds are cool. I dont like the 'Q' menu though. Not sure if you can disable it, but Id rather use the F keys for commands. I dont like the comand screen poping up like that. I cant wait for the full version.

I wonder if the multiplayer aspect of this game has more than just CTF? Battlefield 1942 was absolute horsefata because it only offered the absolute worst form of PvP.

For those that play, what are your user names? I use the same name and play all the time over at rnp.ca

Actually BF2 doesn't have CTF at all. They have the conquest mode (which is what the demo has, cap the points or kill the enemy to reduce his ticket to 0) but I believe they have some other maps which have objectives as well (like the BoB map in BF1942 where the axis was supposted to destroy the factory and the allies had to protect the factory).

BF1942 had a CTF mode as well, but I believe that isn't being included in BF2.

Anyone know how to zoom with the sniper rifle? Obviously there is the one click zoom like all the other weapons, but surely it must get better than that..
