I've used Smith Brothers, and my mom has used Smith Brothers in two homes with hardwood, site-finished installs. They've been nothing but excellent.

we just had our house done by an excellent contractor who works off of nothing but refferals...he did a great job.

Here are some shots I took during an install by Smith Bros in 2009.

The price to do the stairs was astronomical, so we passed. A few years later, I bought all the wood to do them myself from Timebertown, but a broken back resulted in all that wood sitting in a spare bedroom for the last 18 months.

I used a random guy from kijiji and he did an absolutipley perfect job for half price of a regular installer
